Do only the greatest good, for the greatest number of people. They will do the rest.

About This Quote

I’ve heard that this quote, attributed to the Buddha, is now sometimes used by non-Buddhists. It is actually an ancient saying, based on the idea that all the beings of the universe are interconnected and depend on one another for survival. The great thing about this is that it allows us to list the greatest good as the greatest good of all. Doing only the greatest good for all is also a wonderful place to start if you want to do something good.
